peer support for those affected by mental health conditions and
their friends and families
testimonials
Having support means so much to people when they feel so alone. That's exactly how I felt when I first attended Equilibrium . . . totally alone. When I walked out the doors after my first meeting, I knew I'd found a place where I could be honest and open, and where the people understood how overwhelmed I felt. It felt like a safe haven, where pelple cared about each other.

The meeting on Tuesday was excellent! Thanks so much for searching out such knowledgeable and informative speakers. I learned a lot and it is so nice to hear from an advocate.

Dr. O'Sullivan was awesome last night . . . as usual. Grateful thanks to all who work to keep Equilibrium going, as a safe haven for so many.

It's a very successful group, very eclectic. It deals with all aspects of treatment,
from more traditional approaches to diet and meditation. I'm very impressed with how they go about it.

I think Equilibirum is so beneficial because it permits us to talk, to say what's on our mind and to say what we're struggling with, a peer-support group just as you say.

At Equilibrium, I've learned a lot about coping with my depression through
education, participation and sharing. With the supportive help of my family and Equilibrium friends, I know that I'm not alone, there's always hope!

My partner who hates Christmas with a passion, wishes it would go away. This year, he had his best Christmas in 29 years. I attribute it to the coping skills learned at Equilibrium.
